Thing 4: Flickr - Spring

This is my first experience with Flickr. Not so hard once you got a grip of it.

Certainly, Flickr is useful in the library and in any other environment for that matter. The website is pretty easy to navigate and has clear instructions. But, boy, the IDs and passwords are piling up! I also like instructional videos for Things.

Thing 3: Seriously! Is there a way...?

I'm currently working on RSS feeds. It's easy to figure it out on GoogleReader. Haven't tried the Bloglines yet. I have also read some postings and join the bloggers who would like to know whether we can add feeds to our blogs? Is there a way?

I see how feeds are useful for folks. The trick is not to drown in the wealth, depth and amount of information. I think you should really narrow your selections to keep abreast of everything you chose.

To be continued...

Thing 2: Finally Got Started on It!

Whew! Finally got to Thing 2. I've watched the video. Everything sounds great, with the exception of a 15 minute a day/per time advice. It takes longer than that. You need at least 30 minutes at a time to get something accomplished. I decided to do the readings for Thing 2 along with other Things. So, don't be surprised if postings for Thing 2 will be in the mix.

More on Thing 1: Continuing Saga

I added some blog URLs to make my communication more efficient. Pretty cool! I'll try it some time soon.

Thing 1: Exploration, frustration.... Success!!!

I spent quite a bit of time with my 1st thing on Valentine's day. I moved through each step slowly but surely. The directions were great, but it wasn't the project to do while working on the public desk at a busy library. The stumper was posting my Avatar to my blog. I tried to just copy and paste the HTML code by right clicking on a mouse and kept getting an "error" message. On the flipside of this, I explored the Help option, re-read guidelines and successfully completed the task. Overall, the experience was positive and fun. I'm determined to experiment with templates and other available tools. I'll let you know.

Boy, this reminds me getting my library degree on-line. Lots of postings and discussions!

Welcome to MN23onastick!

I've just set up my very own blog. This is my first experience. I have never done it before but heard a lot.
